Pixelmend

Remove Watermarks from Images

Paint over what you want gone and let the inpainting algorithm handle the rest. Good for cleaning watermarks, date stamps and stray marks off your own material. Your images never leave your device.

Pick an image

Drag it in or click to choose. One image at a time.

Paint it out

Cover the watermark with the brush, going slightly past the edges.

Inpaint

Hit remove. If you do not like the result, undo and adjust what you painted.

What this can and cannot do

How does it work?

It uses the Telea fast marching inpainting algorithm: it works inward ring by ring from the edge of your painted area, filling each pixel from the known surrounding pixels weighted by direction and distance. The whole computation runs in your browser, with no AI service involved.

When does it work well, and when does it not?

Thin watermark text, date stamps, scratches and marks over flat or gradient backgrounds usually come out clean. Large opaque logos and watermarks over busy textures turn into a blurry patch, because the algorithm can only extend nearby colors and directions, not invent new detail.

Why should I paint a bit wider than the mark?

Watermark edges usually have a ring of semi-transparent pixels. Paint only the middle and that ghost ring stays behind, and the algorithm treats it as real image content and spreads it inward.

Can I remove a watermark from someone else's image?

Please only process images you own or have the right to edit. A watermark usually marks copyright, removing one from someone else's work can be infringement, and that is not what this tool is for.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Decoding, inpainting and exporting all happen on your machine, and it works offline.
