PDF to Word

Pull the text out of a PDF into an editable .docx. It is the fastest way to rework a contract, resume or paper. Parsing happens on your machine, so the file never leaves your device.

Pick a PDF

Drag it in or click to choose. Several files at once is fine.

Set line breaks

Merge into paragraphs if you plan to keep writing, keep original breaks if you need to compare against the source.

Download

You get a .docx that Word, WPS and Google Docs can all open.

How far it goes

Can it reproduce the layout exactly?

No. This is text extraction: paragraphs, heading levels and page breaks are kept, while tables, columns, images and exact font positions are not. It is great when you need editable text, and the wrong tool when you need a pixel-accurate copy of the page.

Why does my PDF say it has no text layer?

Scanned documents and PDFs made from photos contain only images, with no extractable text. Handling those needs OCR, which is not built yet.

What is the difference between merging paragraphs and keeping original breaks?

Every line in a PDF is independent, so a direct conversion gives you a pile of fragments. Merging stitches them back into full paragraphs using line spacing and where each line ends, which is better for editing. Keeping original breaks turns each line into its own paragraph, which is better for line-by-line checking.

Are my files uploaded?

No. PDF parsing and Word generation both run in your browser, and it works offline.
